Dangerous Provision

The scope of Satan’s sphere of influence is yet to be realized by countless people. No doubt, even many professing believers do not know how to defend themselves from the tactical assaults of the devil. As a sad result, Christians are being manipulated by the adversary without even perceiving it.

Lack of knowledge concerning spiritual warfare puts believers in a position where they could be easily targeted by the devil without resistance. It is disheartening to we see professing Christians being deceived and becoming victims of the devil, yet still unmindful of the warnings of God.

Our attitude toward warnings of God through His servants determines the level of interest we have for spiritual things. Preachers of the Word warn people of the danger of fleshy lust to keep them away from deceitful sin.

It is best to remember that the devil is always offering people evil provision so they may be trapped into his overlooked snares. True Christians must be always aware of the crafty devices of the devil and should not forget to ask help from God at all times. They should not underestimate the evil power of the devil, and at the same time, overestimate their own strength in times of temptation. Without the Lord Jesus Christ, we cannot overcome our adversary.

The Word of God reminds us not to prepare ourselves to sin. Many Christians have committed sins at an unbelievable degree not because they are intensely attacked by the devil, but because they choose to do evil. They made provision for their flesh to fulfill its lust.

Watch out for pornographic materials, wicked imaginations, indecent words, fleshly behavior, worldly activities, questionable music, questionable friends and other world-friendly mindset because these things will surely stir you up to commit unimaginable and grief-giving sins.

(I)            Make Not Provision For The Flesh

Romans 13:14

-Don’t fulfill the lust of the flesh

·               It will lead you to Satan’s sphere of influence

·               It will lead you to sin

·               It will lead you to shame

·               It will lead you to spiritual losses

·               It will lead you to sorrowful life

·               It will lead you to chastisement

·               It will lead you to shameful death

(II)          How To Avoid Dangerous Provision

Romans 13:1-13

-Honor authorities

-Walk in love

-Cast off the works of darkness

-Put on the armour of light

-Walk honestly

-Be mindful of the Lord Jesus Christ

True Christians must make a commitment to holy living and be serious to fulfill their commitment. The world is being darkened progressively by sin and the people of God must stand firm to their Biblical convictions and stay faithful to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Soldiers of Christ must fight courageously to tread the enemies of Truth. They must be careful in their walk with the Lord lest they be trapped in the devil’s snare. Again and again, remember what the apostle Paul wrote in Romans 13:14, But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof. (KJV) Truly, we must keep on trusting the Lord Jesus Christ because without Him we can never overcome evil things.

Be strong in the Lord and let Him polish you so you may continue to be shining for Christ till He Comes.
